Strawberry Macaron is a delightful Japanese shrub rose bred by Hiroshi Ogawa. It is renowned for its delicate creamy-white flowers, which develop a rich strawberry-pink shade as they mature and during cooler weather.
Variety characteristics:
Flower size: 8–10 cm in diameter, double with 17–25 petals, and produced in clusters. The blooms resemble miniature peonies.
Bush: Compact and tidy, reaching approximately 80–120 cm in height and 50–70 cm in width.
Flowering: Abundant and repeat-flowering, continuing from spring until autumn.
Fragrance: Strong to moderate, with pleasant fruity notes.
Resistance: Highly resistant to fungal diseases and reliably winter-hardy in USDA Zone 6.
Thanks to its compact size, this variety is ideal for growing in containers, borders, mixed flower beds or small gardens.
