Julie André is one of the most spectacular climbing roses created by Georges Delbard and dedicated to the namesake TV and gastronomic critic.
The flowers start as lemon-yellow with red stripes, which later turn into creamy-pink. Typically, they are more yellow than red, although occasionally the red coloring can dominate, making each flower unique. The cup-shaped blooms, in an old-fashioned style, measure 8-10 cm in diameter and appear singly or in clusters of up to 5 flowers.
The fragrance of this rose matches its colors – very complex, combining fruity, citrus, and rosy notes with a hint of vanilla.
One of the advantages of this rose is its lack of thorns. The bush grows to a height of 150-200 cm, with luxurious, dark green, glossy foliage. It branches quickly, forming a beautiful flowering column. It blooms repeatedly throughout the season, from May until the first frost. Disease resistance is high, and it is frost-resistant to USDA Zone 6.
