Among the great diversity of garden roses, the Red Leonardo da Vinci rose deserves special attention — one of the brightest representatives of modern floribunda roses. Bred by the renowned French breeding company Meilland, it combines the luxurious classic form with the resilience of modern varieties.
This cultivar impresses with its rich, deep red petal color, which does not fade even under intense sunlight. The flowers are densely double, 8–10 cm in diameter, and highly decorative — reminiscent of antique roses or blooms from Renaissance paintings. They are gathered in large clusters and abundantly cover the bush throughout the entire season, from June until the first frosts. The fragrance is light, with pleasant fruity notes.
The bush is upright, compact, and dense, reaching up to 80 cm in height and about 60 cm in width. The foliage is thick, dark green, and glossy, showing good resistance to the main rose diseases such as powdery mildew and black spot. Red Leonardo da Vinci is ideal for planting in mixed borders, flower beds, along pathways, and also looks excellent in containers. It can be grown as a specimen plant or in group compositions.
This rose does not require special care and is suitable for both experienced gardeners and beginners. It prefers sunny locations, fertile well-drained soil, and regular watering during the active growth period.
